In my previous role, I successfully increased project specifications by 20% by developing trusted partnerships with architects and specifiers. I hold the CDT and DHC certifications and enjoy leveraging technical knowledge to help clients make informed decisions. Sample interview questions
I would start by researching each firm's ongoing projects and key decision-makers. I would then attend CSI, AIA, and DHI events to network and establish credibility. I would focus on understanding the architects' needs and providing them with technical knowledge about our products, making it easier for them to specify our solutions.
I have experience collaborating with spec writers and using tools like SpecText and MasterFormat. I would provide training sessions, product samples, and detailed documentation to ensure our products are accurately specified. I would also maintain a strong follow-up process to address any revisions or questions.
I use a CRM to track account activity and prioritize based on project timeline and potential revenue. I schedule my travel to maximize face-to-face time with high-value accounts, and I balance remote meetings with in-person visits. I also align with my team to ensure coverage and avoid gaps.
In a previous role, an architect was hesitant to change from a competitor's product. I listened to their concerns and provided a side-by-side comparison, including case studies and technical data. I also arranged a product demonstration with the entire project team, which helped answer their performance questions and ultimately led to a specification win.
I admire dormakaba's leadership in access solutions and its focus on innovation and sustainability. I value the company's commitment to employee growth and development, and I am excited to represent a portfolio that makes a real impact. My collaborative and customer-centric approach aligns with dormakaba's culture.
