Sample interview questions
How do you turn campaign-performance data into a creative testing plan?

I first segment results by audience, offer, format, angle, hook, and placement to isolate meaningful patterns. I review metrics such as Thumbstop Rate and Hold Rate for attention, then CTR, CVR, and CPA for downstream efficiency. From those findings, I prioritize a small set of hypotheses with clear variables, expected signals, and a defined next iteration.

Describe how you would build a new UGC concept for a DTC product.

I would begin with the target customer's pain point, desired outcome, objections, and the product's most credible proof points. I would then write a concise brief covering the opening hook, creator persona, visual beats, product demonstration, testimonial or evidence, offer, and call to action. I would produce several angle variations so the team can test different motivations without changing every variable at once.

Which metrics matter most when evaluating Meta creative, and why?

Thumbstop Rate and Hold Rate indicate whether the opening and pacing earn attention, while CTR reflects whether the message creates intent to learn more. CVR and CPA show whether that attention converts efficiently after the click. I assess the metrics together because a creative can have a strong hook but weak conversion if its promise, proof, or audience-message fit is misaligned.

How do you balance brand consistency with direct-response performance?

I define non-negotiable brand elements, such as core claims, visual identifiers, tone boundaries, and compliance requirements, then allow experimentation within those guardrails. Performance creative can still be authentic and distinctive when it uses clear benefits, credible proof, and native platform storytelling. I share winning insights with brand stakeholders so learnings strengthen both response and long-term consistency.

Tell us how you would collaborate with media buyers after a creative begins underperforming.

I would review delivery, audience, placement, frequency, and creative-level results with the media buyer to determine whether the issue is messaging, fatigue, targeting, or media conditions. Based on the diagnosis, I would recommend focused iterations such as a new hook, different proof, revised offer framing, shorter edit, or alternate format. We would document the hypothesis and outcome so future testing becomes faster and more systematic.
