Sample interview questions
How would you turn a client’s growth objectives into an integrated media strategy?

I would begin by clarifying the commercial objective, unit economics, target audiences, constraints, and success metrics. From there, I would define the funnel roles for each channel, establish an investment and testing framework, align measurement methods, and create a phased roadmap with clear owners and decision points.

Describe how you would address declining performance and retention risk within a major client account.

I would quickly diagnose performance, delivery quality, stakeholder sentiment, and commercial factors using account data and direct client feedback. I would then present a transparent recovery plan with prioritized actions, measurable milestones, senior-team accountability, and a regular executive communication cadence to rebuild confidence.

How do you decide between attribution, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling?

I select the method based on the business question, available data, conversion volume, channel mix, and decision horizon. Attribution can support tactical optimization, incrementality testing validates causal lift for specific interventions, and MMM informs broader budget allocation decisions across channels and time periods.

How do you lead executive-level client presentations effectively?

I structure presentations around the client’s business outcomes rather than channel-level activity. I lead with the decision required, connect insights to financial impact, clearly communicate trade-offs and recommendations, and reserve detailed operational information for supporting materials or follow-up discussion.

What is your approach to mentoring channel specialists while maintaining strategic and commercial accountability?

I set clear standards for planning, storytelling, performance analysis, and client communication, then give team members meaningful ownership within those guardrails. Through regular coaching, review sessions, and exposure to client strategy discussions, I help them grow while ensuring work remains aligned to account goals, scope, and profitability.

The Role
