Sample interview questions
I would first segment priority merchant verticals by payment needs, transaction profiles, and digital maturity. I would combine Salesforce data, Sales Navigator research, partner referrals, and targeted outbound campaigns to create an account plan, then track conversion metrics weekly to refine messaging and focus on the highest-potential segments.
I would shift the discussion from price to measurable commercial impact. By understanding the merchant’s conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition costs, and retention goals, I can build a business case around the incremental revenue and customer experience value that the solution can create.
I would explain how I revalidated the stakeholder map, identified the unresolved business concern, and created a clear mutual action plan with next steps, owners, and deadlines. I would also use a tailored proposal or proof point to reconnect the solution to the prospect’s strategic objectives rather than simply following up for a decision.
I use disciplined qualification criteria, clear stage definitions, and regular pipeline reviews to distinguish genuine opportunities from low-probability activity. I prioritize actions that advance qualified deals while continually replenishing early-stage pipeline, ensuring both near-term performance and sustainable coverage.
I would bring structured customer insight to each team, including use cases, objections, competitor information, and deal requirements. In return, I would align internal stakeholders around a shared account plan, communicate commitments transparently to prospects, and ensure feedback from the field informs future positioning and product decisions.
