Cision is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to improve the reliability, scalability, security, and efficiency of production infrastructure and deployment processes. The role owns infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud operations, monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis across critical services. Candidates need 5+ years of relevant DevOps, SRE, or software engineering experience, with strong Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, cloud, and scripting expertise. This is a senior, collaborative role that includes production on-call participation, cross-functional partnership, process standardization, and mentoring junior engineers.

I define reusable, version-controlled modules for common infrastructure patterns and apply changes through reviewed CI/CD pipelines. This reduces manual drift, creates an auditable change history, and allows environments to be reproduced consistently.
I start with workload resource requests and limits, health probes, autoscaling policies, and secure cluster access. I also establish observability for cluster and application signals, test upgrades in lower environments, and use progressive deployment practices to limit production risk.
I would first assess customer impact and stabilize the service through rollback, scaling, or traffic controls where appropriate. I would then use dashboards, logs, traces, and recent deployment history to isolate the failure mode, communicate status clearly, and lead a blameless root-cause review with tracked corrective actions.
Typical SLIs include successful request rate, latency at key percentiles, availability, and freshness where relevant. I would set SLOs around user-facing expectations, define error budgets, and use those budgets to balance feature delivery with reliability work.
I treat delivery pipelines and operational requirements as shared responsibilities by agreeing on deployment standards, test gates, rollback procedures, and measurable service objectives. I also provide self-service tooling and documentation so teams can deploy safely while receiving rapid feedback from automated checks and observability.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help drive the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure and deployment processes. In this role, you’ll tackle complex technical challenges, designing and implementing solutions that improve our system architecture and developer workflows. You’ll play a pivotal role in guiding projects from design through production support, and you’ll mentor junior engineers in DevOps best practices.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the reliability, performance, and security of critical production services from design to deployment, ensuring they meet our uptime and performance targets.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to build and maintain resilient infrastructure and efficient deployment pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and software deployments using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools, reducing manual work and errors.
- Participate in and improve our 24×7 on-call process, swiftly troubleshooting incidents and performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Document and standardize processes and configurations, sharing knowledge to uplift the entire engineering team’s capabilities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering roles, with increasing responsibility in system design and operations.
- Extensive experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments, including managing and scaling clusters.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet) to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Strong coding and scripting skills in languages like Python, Go, or Ruby, with the ability to build automation tools for system management.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and their services, with experience designing and operating cloud-based infrastructure at scale.
- Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals in cloud and on-prem environments.
- Experience setting up and tuning monitoring/alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.), and a thorough understanding of SRE best practices (SLIs, SLOs, incident management).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively in collaborative team environments.

Salary Range for this role 55,000 – 67,000 Euro annual gross
