About this role.
This Solutions Engineering Integration Specialist role supports pre- and post-sales deployment of compact radar systems with customers and third-party platform integrators. The specialist will plan installations, configure and tune deployed systems, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, analyze demo data, and create technical training materials. Success requires strong customer-facing communication alongside practical knowledge of field-deployed sensors, APIs, Linux, networking, and scripting. The position is remote within the United States and requires up to 50% travel for customer and partner engagements.

Sample interview questions
I would explain the system architecture, customer objective, integration plan, configuration steps, test criteria, and how I coordinated stakeholders. I would emphasize the troubleshooting process, the root cause identified, and the measurable deployment outcome.
I would first validate installation geometry, power, network connectivity, firmware, configuration, and environmental constraints. I would then collect logs and sensor data, compare results against a known-good baseline, isolate whether the issue is sensor, integration, or platform-related, and document corrective actions for the customer and engineering team.
I tailor the discussion to the audience. For executives, I focus on operational outcomes, risk reduction, and deployment value; for technical teams, I provide architecture details, interfaces, performance assumptions, and validation methods while confirming understanding through questions.
I begin by confirming requirements, network architecture, API and protocol compatibility, security constraints, and success criteria. I then configure the interfaces in a controlled environment, validate data flows and events, execute field acceptance testing, and provide clear documentation and training for ongoing use.
I use tools such as Python for parsing logs or plotting performance data and Wireshark to inspect network traffic, timing, and protocol behavior. I correlate the evidence with system configuration and customer-reported symptoms to produce a reproducible diagnosis and a prioritized resolution plan.
