Sample interview questions
I would first define each funnel stage and validate the underlying data in Salesforce and reporting tools. I would segment conversion and time-to-progress by customer type, acquisition source, training cohort, owner, product mix, and geography, then combine the findings with qualitative feedback from Training and Sales. I would prioritize the largest and most actionable drop-off, test a focused process or enablement change, and monitor both conversion and downstream repeat-order outcomes.
I start by translating the strategy into measurable outcomes, leading indicators, owners, workflows, systems requirements, and a governance cadence. I align stakeholders on definitions and handoffs, document the future-state process, and sequence implementation based on expected impact and effort. I then use dashboards and recurring reviews to identify gaps, remove blockers, and refine the plan as conditions change.
I map the current process end to end, identify manual tasks, decision points, exceptions, and handoff failures, and quantify where delays or errors occur. I automate repeatable, rules-based actions such as task creation, lifecycle stage updates, alerts, and routing while retaining human review for complex customer situations. Before rollout, I define data quality controls, test with a pilot group, train users, and measure adoption, cycle time, and customer outcomes.
I build dashboards around decisions, not just available data. Every metric should have a clear definition, owner, target or benchmark, and a corresponding action when performance is off track. I also pair executive-level outcome views with drill-down diagnostics, review them in a consistent operating cadence, and maintain a documented action log so insights translate into accountability.
I would establish a shared view of the customer lifecycle, common success metrics, and explicit service-level expectations for each handoff. When priorities conflict, I would use customer impact and quantitative evidence to clarify trade-offs rather than relying on functional preference. I would facilitate a decision with accountable leaders, document the agreed process, and revisit results through a regular cross-functional review.
