Sample interview questions
I would begin by defining the decision to be made, the desired business outcome, and the constraints. I would then map root causes, validate assumptions with quantitative and qualitative evidence, align stakeholders on a small set of choices, and establish accountable owners and leading metrics. I would measure success through adoption, operating performance, and the sustained business result rather than the completion of the project itself.
I have started with the recurring decisions, handoffs, and failure points that prevented teams from executing consistently. I then defined decision rights, cadence, inputs, metrics, and escalation paths, piloted the model with key functions, and refined it based on usage. To make it durable, I embedded the mechanisms into existing planning and review rhythms and assigned clear ownership.
I would assess workflows based on business value, volume, decision criticality, data availability, implementation complexity, and risk. I would prioritize repeatable processes where AI can improve speed, quality, or insight while retaining appropriate human review and controls. Each pilot would have a baseline, defined success metrics, change-management plan, and a path to scale only after demonstrated value.
I build credibility by deeply understanding the business context, bringing evidence rather than opinion, and framing recommendations around shared outcomes. I involve leaders early to surface trade-offs and create ownership, then communicate decisions, risks, and next steps with precision. Consistent follow-through and transparent reporting help maintain alignment when priorities evolve.
I would track decision velocity, percentage of commitments completed on time, quality and consistency of business inputs, resolution time for escalations, and movement in the operational outcomes tied to company priorities. I would also gather structured feedback from participants on clarity, preparation burden, and usefulness. The cadence is effective when it improves decisions and execution rather than merely increasing meeting activity.
