Sample interview questions
How would you identify and mitigate churn risk for an enterprise grocery retailer?

I would combine usage, campaign performance, engagement, support, and commercial data to establish account-health indicators. After identifying a risk signal, I would validate the underlying issue with stakeholders, align an internal action plan, communicate clear milestones, and measure whether the intervention improves adoption and business outcomes.

Describe how you turn raw account data into an effective executive business review.

I begin with the executive's goals and organize the story around outcomes, trends, opportunities, and recommended actions. I use a concise narrative supported by relevant metrics, benchmark performance where possible, explain drivers behind results, and end with decisions or next steps that create mutual accountability.

How would you approach an expansion opportunity with an existing retailer partner?

I would first confirm that the account is realizing value and understand the customer's strategic priorities, operating constraints, and growth plans. I would then connect a specific Upside capability or broader deployment to measurable outcomes, build a business case with the right stakeholders, and manage the process transparently through agreement and implementation.

Tell us about your approach to working across analytics, product, marketing, and operations on a customer issue.

I establish a shared definition of the issue, customer impact, desired outcome, owner, and timeline. I make sure each team has the relevant customer context and data, maintain regular updates, and provide the customer with a clear communication plan rather than exposing internal handoffs or uncertainty.

How do you adapt your communication for both senior executives and operational contacts?

For executives, I focus on strategic outcomes, financial impact, risks, and decisions needed. For operational partners, I provide more detail on workflows, timelines, metrics, and implementation steps; in both cases, I tailor the message to their priorities and confirm alignment through clear next actions.
