About this role.
CertiK is seeking a Vietnam-based Business Development Associate to generate pipeline and close consultative security-service sales across Web3, DeFi, exchanges, tokenization platforms, and institutional customers. The contractor will own complex sales cycles from prospecting and technical discovery through proposals, price negotiation, contracting, onboarding, renewals, and account expansion. Success requires 2–5 years of B2B sales or business-development experience plus practical familiarity with blockchain ecosystems, smart-contract security, and cybersecurity concepts. Professional Vietnamese and English are required, while additional Asian-language ability and prior experience selling audits, penetration tests, or bug-bounty services are strong advantages. The role must be performed outside the United States, with Vietnam explicitly identified as the location.

Sample interview questions
I would segment the market by protocols, exchanges, tokenization initiatives, fintechs, and Web2 enterprises entering digital assets. I would prioritize accounts by security exposure, funding stage, launch timelines, and decision-maker access, then run tailored multilingual outreach tied to audit, penetration-testing, monitoring, or compliance needs.
I frame the audit as risk reduction and launch readiness rather than as a technical deliverable. I connect security findings to potential financial loss, reputational damage, user trust, operational disruption, and the executive’s need for independent assurance before deployment.
I map stakeholders early, clarify their decision criteria, and establish a mutual action plan covering technical discovery, scope definition, proposal review, procurement, and contracting. I maintain momentum through clear next steps while bringing solutions engineers into discussions where technical credibility is essential.
I would first understand whether the concern is budget, scope, competing priorities, or an unclear value proposition. Then I would quantify the risk of inadequate security, align the recommended scope to the project’s critical assets and timeline, and explore phased or appropriately scoped options without compromising essential assurance.
I would conduct a structured handoff and follow-up focused on remediation progress, upcoming releases, new chains or products, and continuing threat exposure. Based on those needs, I would identify opportunities for re-audits, monitoring subscriptions, penetration testing, and other services that support the client’s long-term security posture.
