Sample interview questions
How would you build a consistent client-service model across culturally and commercially diverse APAC markets?

I would establish a common regional operating framework with consistent success metrics, account-health standards, escalation paths, and manager coaching routines. I would then allow measured local adaptation for market maturity, client buying behavior, language, privacy requirements, and staffing realities, using regular feedback loops to identify where the global model needs refinement.

What approach would you use to improve retention and expansion among strategic programmatic advertising clients?

I would segment accounts by revenue, growth potential, adoption, performance trends, and renewal risk, then create joint account plans with Sales and Client Services. For each strategic client, I would connect campaign outcomes to agreed business value, sponsor executive business reviews, address adoption barriers early, and identify expansion opportunities tied to new channels, audiences, measurement, or platform capabilities.

Describe how you would manage a serious client escalation involving underperforming campaign results.

I would first ensure the client receives a clear owner, an accurate fact base, and a timely recovery plan. Internally, I would bring together the appropriate campaign, product, technical, and sales stakeholders to diagnose root causes, define immediate mitigation actions, and set transparent communication milestones; afterward, I would document lessons learned and improve the operating process to prevent recurrence.

How do you develop managers while maintaining accountability in a fast-growing regional organization?

I set clear expectations through a small set of measurable outcomes covering client health, retention, team capability, operational quality, and engagement. I combine regular one-to-ones and coaching with leadership development plans, calibrated performance reviews, and forums where managers can learn from one another, while holding leaders accountable for both results and the health of their teams.

How would you balance local APAC client needs with global product and operational priorities?

I would translate local feedback into evidence-based priorities by quantifying customer impact, revenue opportunity, regulatory risk, and operational cost. I would advocate for the highest-value needs through structured product and leadership forums, communicate decisions transparently to regional teams and clients, and identify practical interim workflows when longer-term platform changes are required.
