Sample interview questions
Can you describe a motion-design project that balanced strong creative storytelling with a specific business objective?

I would explain the project objective, intended audience, creative concept, and the motion choices used to guide attention and reinforce the message. I would also share measurable outcomes where available, such as engagement, completion rate, conversion, or stakeholder feedback.

How do you manage several motion projects with competing deadlines while preserving quality?

I begin by clarifying scope, deliverables, dependencies, and review milestones for every project. I prioritize according to impact and deadline, communicate risks early, use reusable project structures where appropriate, and reserve time for final QA on timing, typography, transitions, and exports.

What is your experience with Lottie and Rive, and when would you recommend each?

I use Lottie when a lightweight, scalable JSON animation is appropriate for web or app implementation, typically from an After Effects-based workflow. I would recommend Rive when a project benefits from interactive states, runtime inputs, or more dynamic behavior within a product experience.

How would you incorporate AI tools into a motion-design workflow without compromising brand quality?

I would use AI tools to accelerate ideation, exploratory frames, asset generation, and selected production tasks, while retaining human creative direction and rigorous review. Every output should be assessed for brand alignment, visual consistency, licensing considerations, and technical quality before delivery.

How do you collaborate effectively with remote account teams and creative leads across time zones?

I keep communication concise, document decisions and feedback clearly, and make timelines and dependencies visible. I also share work-in-progress early, ask focused questions when requirements are ambiguous, and provide organized handoffs so teammates can continue progress asynchronously.
