About this role.
BetterHelp is seeking a qualified Dutch psychologist, integrative counselor, psychosocial counselor, or psychosocial therapist to provide remote teletherapy to adults. The contractor will deliver confidential online sessions while retaining clinical judgment and the ability to focus on preferred client populations or specialties. BetterHelp provides the platform, client acquisition, billing, and administrative support, allowing the clinician to focus on care delivery. Candidates need at least three years of adult counseling experience, a suitable private setting, reliable internet, and the ability to pass a background check.

I work from a private, sound-controlled space, use secure devices and connections, and confirm that clients can speak privately at the start of sessions. I also follow applicable professional and data-protection requirements for records and communications.
I remain calm, conduct an appropriate risk assessment, and follow a clear safety protocol. Depending on the situation, I collaborate with the client on an immediate safety plan and connect them with local emergency or crisis resources when necessary.
I start with a collaborative assessment of the client’s needs, history, strengths, and preferences. I then use evidence-informed methods suited to their goals while regularly reviewing progress and adjusting the treatment plan together.
I maintain clear documentation, keep my professional knowledge current, and practice within the scope of my qualifications. I make independent clinical decisions while using consultation, supervision, and referral pathways whenever they are clinically appropriate.

Vereisten:
- Is gekwalificeerd om te praktiseren als WO-psycholoog, Integratief Counselor, Psychosociaal Counselor of Psychosociaal Therapeut.
- Heeft minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in het begeleiden van volwassenen.
- Is in staat om een vertrouwelijke en rustige omgeving te waarborgen voor het uitvoeren van therapiesessies.
- Moet een achtergrondcontrole doorstaan.
- Heeft een betrouwbare internetverbinding voor teletherapie.
