Sample interview questions
I would begin with a detailed project plan that defines goals, owners, deadlines, budget, deliverables, and escalation paths. I would maintain a shared tracker for logistics, booth assets, travel, lead capture, vendor commitments, and post-event follow-up, while providing regular concise updates to stakeholders.
I would align measurement to the event's purpose, such as registrations, attendance, meetings booked, qualified leads, influenced pipeline, partner engagement, and attendee feedback. I would establish baseline targets before the event, ensure lead and campaign tracking are configured correctly, and deliver a post-event report with results, insights, and recommended improvements.
I would immediately confirm the impact, identify the fastest recovery options, and communicate a clear status and recommendation to the appropriate stakeholders. I would activate backup vendors or alternative solutions where possible, document decisions, and keep the team updated until the issue is resolved.
I prioritize according to business impact, fixed deadlines, dependencies, and risk. I break each initiative into actionable milestones, flag conflicts early, and communicate capacity constraints or required decisions before they become blockers.
Before the event, I would align with sales on target accounts, messaging, meeting goals, and lead-routing expectations. Afterward, I would ensure leads and engagement data are shared promptly, confirm follow-up ownership and timelines, and review outcomes with sales to improve future regional programs.

About the Role
We’re hiring a Field Marketing Coordinator to help build and execute NetBox Labs’ field marketing, event, and partner marketing programs. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-obsessed, and proactive — someone who thrives on keeping many moving pieces on track and gets genuine satisfaction from a program that runs flawlessly, from trade shows and sponsorships to webinars and regional events.
You’ll be the connective tissue between our marketing team, internal stakeholders, and external partners and vendors — making sure every program moves forward on time, on budget, and with steady communication with everyone involved.
In this role, you will:
Support the research, development, and execution of field marketing initiatives, including or own conferences, third-party trade shows, and regional events
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to research, develop, and execute campaigns and projects moving forward on time
Help organize and coordinate NetBox Labs and industry events, including proactively communicating in a concise, effective manner with internal and external stakeholders
Partner with the marketing team on partner marketing programs — co-marketing campaigns, joint events, and shared sponsorships with ecosystem partners
Assist with weekly and monthly marketing program reporting and metrics (events, campaigns, registration and attendance data)
At times manage event logistics and on-the-ground execution — venue and vendor coordination, booth setup, and swag
You will work closely with:
The marketing team to plan, promote, execute, and measure field and partner marketing programs
Sales team members to provide relevant information and updates about field marketing programs in-region
External partners, vendors, and venues to manage logistics and ensure flawless on-site execution
Finance and legal teams to ensure budgetary and legal reviews are completed accurately
It would be fantastic if you had the following background:
Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal
An aggressive, proactive communicator and follow-upper — a true self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what’s next
Well organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable coordinating with vendors, internal stakeholders, and external partners at all levels
Growth minded and a team player with a positive, do-what-it-takes attitude
Willingness to travel for on-site event execution as needed
Required Experience:
1–3 years of experience in field marketing, event coordination, or integrated marketing campaigns — ideally in B2B tech or SaaS
Hands-on experience supporting trade shows, conferences, sponsorships, or regional events
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with high ownership and execution focus
Proficiency using Google Workspace applications, Zoom, and Slack
Bonus points:
Experience supporting pipeline generation through events and regional marketing programs
Experience with HubSpot as a marketing automation tool
Experience in leveraging Claude or other AI tools in day-to-day workflows
Experience in a high-growth software or technology company
