Sample interview questions
How would you build Storyly’s reseller network in a new European market?

I would first segment the market by target verticals, partner types, and existing mobile-marketing ecosystems. I would develop an ideal partner profile, create a prioritized outreach list, validate commercial fit through discovery, and establish a clear onboarding and enablement plan. I would track activation, sourced opportunities, conversion, and revenue to refine recruitment criteria.

Describe how you have enabled a partner to sell a SaaS product independently.

I would explain the product’s customer problem, positioning, qualification criteria, demo flow, pricing approach, and competitive differentiation through a structured enablement program. I would supplement training with sales collateral, deal-registration processes, office hours, and early joint selling. Independence should be measured by partner-led demonstrations, qualified pipeline creation, and successful closed-won opportunities.

How do you evaluate whether a technical partnership is worth pursuing?

I assess customer overlap, integration feasibility, strategic fit, expected joint value proposition, required internal resources, and likely pipeline or retention impact. I also validate partner commitment and route-to-market capability before investing heavily. A lightweight pilot with clear success metrics can test demand before a broader integration or launch.

What metrics would you use to manage the health of a partner channel?

I would monitor recruited versus activated partners, training completion, partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, opportunity conversion, average deal value, sales cycle length, revenue, renewal performance, and engagement with joint campaigns. Metrics should be reviewed by partner tier and market to identify where enablement or commercial intervention is needed.

How would you handle a partner that produces leads but consistently sends poorly qualified opportunities?

I would review lead data with the partner to identify qualification gaps, then reinforce the ideal customer profile, discovery questions, and handoff criteria. I would use feedback from sales to improve their enablement materials and establish a short-term improvement plan. If quality does not improve, I would reduce investment while keeping the relationship professional and focused on mutually agreed standards.
