The role, at a glance.
This is a mid-level full-stack engineering contract role building internal operational tools, a client portal, dashboards, and intake workflows. The engineer will own architecture, scalability, interface design, and long-term technical direction while partnering directly with leadership. The stack is expected to include Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL/Supabase, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, CI/CD, and potentially React Native. The role is remote for candidates based in LATAM and requires fluent English, product judgment, and comfort operating with substantial autonomy.

Sample interview questions
I would begin by mapping users, permissions, core workflows, and the data entities shared across requests, estimates, revisions, projects, and status updates. I would define a modular architecture with a clear API and role-based access controls, then deliver the highest-value workflows first while leaving room for future mobile and reporting needs.
I start by clarifying the desired outcome, stakeholders, constraints, and success metrics rather than immediately selecting a technology. I then propose a lightweight solution plan, validate assumptions with users, and ship an iterative version that can be measured and improved.
I would separate business logic and API contracts from presentation concerns, document shared domain models, and maintain a well-defined backend interface. I would also use a design system with reusable tokens and components where practical, so the mobile implementation can preserve consistent workflows and visual hierarchy.
I would first request architecture documentation, schema definitions, access procedures, deployment workflows, backup policies, and known technical debt. After auditing the environment, I would establish observability, version-controlled migrations, security controls, and a staged handover plan to reduce operational risk before assuming full responsibility.
I prioritize simple, maintainable solutions that solve the immediate workflow while avoiding irreversible shortcuts in data models, security, and API design. I document key trade-offs, instrument the system, and schedule refactoring when usage data shows where additional scalability investment is justified.

We Make Remote Work Remarkable • TopTalent from LatAm
Hello! We are GoFasti, a Talent-as-a-Service. GoFasti bridges the gap between world-class developers and designers from LatAm and first-class companies around the globe.
We need an English-proficient Mid Level Fullstack Engineer, based in LatAm, available to work remotely.
We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who’s constantly learning and improving their skills.
Are you the one we are looking for?
Responsibilities:
Build an internal operational hub to capture client requests and manage projects
Build a client portal giving clients visibility into estimates, revision requests, and project status without relying on email
Build an internal dashboard for owners to monitor team productivity and project management standards
Design and develop client intake forms and workflows to replace spreadsheet-based processes
Develop desktop and mobile-friendly experiences for field staff connectivity (responsive web first, with native mobile via React Native as the product matures)
Own system architecture, design, and scalability decisions for internal tools
Build clean, intuitive interfaces and user flows across internal platforms, leveraging modern component libraries and design systems
Collaborate initially with an external development group managing the company’s database, with the expectation of eventually taking full ownership
Contribute to the development roadmap and help leadership prioritize technical work for current and future products
Partner directly with leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions
Requirements:
Mid-to-senior level full-stack engineering experience
Strong background in system architecture, design, and scalability
Strong product sense and an eye for clean, usable interfaces
Experience shaping customer/user flows, not just building to spec
Comfortable working across both desktop and mobile
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable with ambiguity and working closely with leadership without needing extensive direction
Self-starter capable of long-term, high-autonomy ownership of internal systems
It’s a plus:
Supabase: compatible with the existing setup; quick to pick up for any strong PostgreSQL + Node.js engineer
Frontend tooling: Next.js specifically, Tailwind CSS
Mobile: React Native (for the future native mobile phase)
API: GraphQL
Auth & Hosting: Supabase Auth or Auth0; Vercel/Netlify (frontend); Railway/Render/Supabase (backend)
CI/CD: GitHub Actions or equivalent
Other: familiarity with Lovable.dev a plus
Compensation:
