Sample interview questions
I start by defining the ideal customer profile, segmenting accounts by likely pain points and buying potential, and identifying relevant decision-makers. I use a consistent multichannel cadence across email, phone, LinkedIn, referrals, and events, then measure conversion at each stage to improve messaging and prioritization.
I would first understand the firm’s case volume, existing service-of-process or document-delivery workflows, operational bottlenecks, reliability concerns, and reporting requirements. I would quantify the impact of delays or poor visibility, identify all stakeholders, and tailor the value discussion to outcomes such as speed, transparency, compliance, and staff efficiency.
I establish a clear mutual action plan early, confirm decision criteria and stakeholders, document pain and desired outcomes, and agree on next steps after every interaction. I maintain accurate CRM notes and forecasts, proactively resolve objections, and coordinate internal resources so implementation expectations are clear before the handoff.
I prepare thoroughly on the firm’s practice area and operational context, ask thoughtful questions, and avoid making assumptions about legal workflows. I communicate directly, follow through reliably, and use relevant customer examples or data to show that I understand both the business and service-quality implications of the solution.
I treat rejection as useful signal rather than a personal outcome. I review whether the account fit, message, timing, or channel needs adjustment, continue activity against a structured plan, and seek coaching on patterns that can improve my conversion rate.

About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated Account Executive to build and own a territory selling to plaintiff law firms. You’ll create your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, build relationships with firm owners, attorneys, and operations leaders, and partner with our Customer Success team to turn new logos into lasting, growing accounts. This is a full-cycle sales role with real territory ownership and uncapped upside.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll own your territory, building outbound pipeline through targeted outreach, referrals, and field activity.
- You’ll win new plaintiff law firms by developing relationships with firm owners, attorneys, and operations leaders.
- You’ll run consultative discovery to uncover workflow, reliability, and visibility problems before positioning Proof.
- You’ll advance opportunities end to end, from first conversation through close, keeping stakeholders and next steps clear.
- You’ll partner with Customer Success to hand off new logos and set them up for sustained revenue.
What You’ll Bring
- You have 2-4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in professional services, legal services, or legal technology.
- You’ve built your own outbound pipeline before rather than relying on inbound leads.
- You communicate confidently with attorneys, firm owners, and operations leaders, and build credibility quickly.
- You’re comfortable traveling 25-30% of the time for prospect and customer visits.
- You bring resilience and coachability, with the discipline to keep your pipeline and forecast on track.
Bonus points: legal or legal technology experience, and service of process experience, are a plus.
Compensation
- Full-time, salaried position
- Compensation: $140,000-$160,000 OTE
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, paid parental leave, and 401(k)
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Necessary equipment provided
- Work-from-home stipend
