The role, at a glance.
This role owns marketing attribution and performance analysis for ShareGate, a B2B SaaS business operating through inbound and channel growth engines. The analyst will unify attribution across HubSpot and HockeyStack, develop reporting for campaign and funnel performance, and turn findings into executive-ready recommendations. The position partners closely with Marketing Operations, the Director of Marketing, and RevOps leadership while independently interpreting data and influencing investment decisions. It requires strong hands-on HubSpot expertise, attribution-model judgment, UTM and lifecycle governance knowledge, and practical use of AI to accelerate analysis. The environment is described as fast-moving and ambiguous, with a significant initial build mandate.

Sample interview questions
I would first audit source definitions, campaign naming, UTM capture, lifecycle stages, identity resolution, and conversion-event logic in both platforms. I would document a common measurement taxonomy, reconcile known discrepancies, and define which system is authoritative for each metric. I would then validate outputs against a sample of closed-won opportunities before publishing stakeholder-facing reporting.
I use first-touch to understand which channels create new demand, last-touch to evaluate the final conversion influence, and multi-touch to assess contribution across a longer buying journey. The appropriate model depends on the decision being made, so I present the model alongside its limitations rather than treating any single view as absolute truth.
I would segment the decline through the funnel, beginning with traffic and lead volume, then conversion rates, lead quality, routing outcomes, opportunity creation, and pipeline value. I would compare results by source, campaign, audience, geography, and time period while checking for tracking or lifecycle-definition changes. The output would identify whether the issue is volume, conversion, quality, operations, or measurement, followed by prioritized actions.
I start with the business question and lead with the decision required, the key finding, and the expected impact. I limit the main narrative to the few metrics that support the recommendation, use simple visuals, and place methodology or caveats in an appendix. Executives should leave knowing what to invest in, what to stop, and what needs further validation.
I would use AI to accelerate exploratory analysis, summarize patterns, generate investigation hypotheses, document reporting logic, and draft stakeholder narratives. I would validate all calculations, source data, and conclusions independently, especially before using outputs for budget or executive decisions. AI should reduce cycle time while the analyst remains accountable for measurement integrity and business judgment.
About this role.
Company Description
Workleap is a Montreal-based tech company, founded in 2006. We’re builders at heart, we make simple products that actually matter to the people who use them. We have two product lines: Workleap Agent, our newest solution built to make every manager more effective, and ShareGate, the world’s leading solution for Microsoft 365 migration and governance. More than 15,000 companies worldwide trust us to do exactly that. We’re intentional about who joins us. If you’re the kind of person who gets excited by a hard problem and wants to help shape what comes next, there’s a place for you here.
Your role
ShareGate is a close to $100M ARR business that grows through two very different engines: inbound and channel. We’ve just finished our CRM migration and locked down our revenue architecture, which means for the first time the data is clean enough to answer the question we’ve never been able to answer properly — what marketing actually drives revenue, and where the next dollar should go. This role exists to own that answer. You’ll be the analytical counterpart to our marketing ops lead, working side by side with ShareGate’s Director of Marketing to turn campaign and attribution data into decisions the marketing team and the exec team can act on.
Your impact:
- Own ShareGate’s marketing attribution architecture across HubSpot and HockeyStack, and translate funnel data into exec-ready narratives, so attribution questions get one clear answer;
- Drive marketing performance by diagnosing what’s working and what isn’t across inbound and channel, so budget shifts to the highest-return programs every quarter instead of every fiscal year;
- Build the reporting and diagnostic layer for ShareGate marketing — campaign performance, funnel conversion, source quality — so the team plans against measured conversion rates, not assumptions;
- Integrate AI into the analysis workflow — we run on Claude — to compress the time from question to answer from days to hours, and to make deep-dive analysis a weekly habit rather than a quarterly project.
Your team
The next 6 to 12 months are a build. This role has never existed at Workleap, and you’re inheriting a business that just finished cleaning its foundations: the CRM migration is done, the revenue architecture is set, and attribution visibility is still scattered across two systems. Your first mandate is to make that architecture coherent and legible — then use it to tell ShareGate’s marketing team where to invest and where to pull back.
RevOps at Workleap is split into two halves. One is Systems & Operations, which owns automation, CRM architecture and AI GTM tooling. The other — yours — is a group of GTM business partners embedded with the business units they serve, accountable for their stakeholder’s performance: forecasting, funnel conversion, quota attainment, velocity. You’ll report to the Director of RevOps and pair tightly with our Marketing Ops Manager, who owns the systems and campaign execution, while you own the data and its interpretation.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years in marketing operations or marketing analytics at a B2B SaaS, software or fintech company;
- Deep hands-on HubSpot expertise — non-negotiable. You’ve built, broken and rebuilt campaign, lifecycle and reporting logic inside it;
- A real command of attribution models — first touch, last touch, multi-touch — and the judgment to know which one answers which question;
- Fluency with the mechanics underneath: UTM governance, lead routing and round robins, lifecycle stages, source and channel taxonomy;
- An analyst’s instinct: you chase the “why” behind a number before anyone asks you to;
- The ability to take a messy dataset and turn it into a two-slide answer a CRO can act on;
- Deliberate daily use of AI to accelerate your own analysis — not just to draft copy;
- Bonus: experience with HockeyStack or a comparable attribution platform.
Most of this sounds like you? Apply.
What the job comes with
- Base salary: $100k to $130k / OTE: $110k–$140k. This range reflects our Canada-wide compensation scale. Final offers may be adjusted based on the candidate’s region to align with local market conditions.
- LTIP program, share in Workleap’s long-term growth;
- RRSP + Family health insurance + telemedicine + annual wellness budget;
- Flexible vacation policy;
- Remote work, with access to our Montreal office;
- In-person gathering twice a year;
- Claude access, for everyone.
Note: The internal title for this role is Revenue Operations Business Partner.
What drives us
At Workleap, we build software that sits at the center of how people experience work, every day, at every level.
We move fast. Priorities shift, decisions get made with the information we have, and we iterate. If you thrive on intensity and ambiguity doesn’t slow you down, you’ll feel right at home.
We’re builders. We do what it takes to move forward. AI is part of our toolkit. We use it to go faster and decide smarter, not to replace judgment.
If you want real impact and a place where your decisions matter, this is it.
How we hire
Transparency is how we hire — for you as much as for us.
Here’s how it works: a first call with a recruiter, then a virtual interview with the hiring manager. You’ll then complete a take-home case study, followed by a meet with future colleagues to discuss it together. Depending on the role, the process may vary slightly — your recruiter will walk you through it on your first call.
We use AI to support certain steps of the process, but every hiring decision remains human.
We can’t wait to meet you.
