Sample interview questions
I begin by confirming the campaign objective, conversion setup, pacing, and data quality. I then review delivery, audience, inventory, creative, frequency, bid strategy, and conversion trends to identify constraints. I prioritize a small set of measurable changes, communicate the rationale and expected impact to the client, and monitor results against the agreed KPI.
I would consolidate performance against the client's business goals, explain meaningful trends, and distinguish platform metrics from business outcomes. I would highlight completed optimizations, successful tactics, risks, and learnings, then recommend a forward-looking test plan and growth opportunities. The meeting should end with clear owners, timing, and agreed success measures.
I would verify that the correct pixel is deployed on the intended page and that its trigger conditions match the conversion event. Next, I would inspect browser events, tag-manager configuration, consent settings, URL rules, and any duplicate or blocked tags. I would document findings, coordinate with the technical owner where necessary, and validate test conversions before reporting resolution.
I focus first on delivering measurable value and understanding the client's objectives, constraints, and upcoming initiatives. Once campaign performance and trust are established, I use performance insights to recommend relevant capabilities, channels, audiences, or measurement improvements. Recommendations must be evidence-based and tied to a client outcome rather than presented as a generic upsell.
I would avoid platform jargon and begin with the business objective, such as improving qualified conversions or reducing wasted spend. I would explain the recommendation in practical terms, describe the expected effect and trade-offs, and use a concise visual or example where useful. I would also confirm the stakeholder's understanding and define how we will measure success.
