Sample interview questions
Describe a partnership you developed from first contact through to a signed agreement or live joint initiative.

I would explain how I identified the partner’s strategic fit, mapped decision-makers and capabilities, validated mutual customer value, built a commercial case, and coordinated internal stakeholders through negotiation and launch. I would quantify outcomes such as sourced pipeline, revenue, adoption, or delivered customer projects.

How would you prioritize potential Firefox Enterprise partners in France?

I would use a structured scorecard covering customer access, alignment with enterprise browser and security use cases, technical and delivery capability, executive commitment, commercial potential, and speed to first joint opportunity. I would prioritize a manageable portfolio with clear near-term pilots alongside longer-term strategic alliances.

How do you build a commercial model for a new technology partnership?

I start with the customer problem and expected value, then define the route to market, pricing approach, partner incentives, delivery and support responsibilities, implementation costs, and revenue-sharing mechanics. I validate assumptions with finance, legal, product, and the partner before documenting measurable targets and governance.

Tell us about a difficult commercial negotiation and how you reached agreement.

I would describe preparing a fact-based position, separating non-negotiable risk controls from flexible terms, understanding the other party’s underlying interests, and proposing options that preserved mutual economics. I would also explain how I involved legal and finance early and maintained the relationship after closing.

How would you create momentum when the partner program and processes are still evolving?

I would establish a lightweight operating rhythm with qualification criteria, joint plans, opportunity stages, owners, milestones, and regular reviews. I would pilot the approach with a few high-potential partners, measure results, capture lessons, and standardize what works without adding unnecessary process.
