Sample interview questions
I review account usage, business goals, support trends, renewal timing, and stakeholder feedback to identify gaps where additional products or services could create value. I validate the customer need before proposing a tailored upsell or cross-sell plan.
I first establish the root cause through data and direct stakeholder conversations, then create a documented success plan with owners, milestones, and follow-up dates. I involve the appropriate internal teams early and communicate progress consistently until the risk is resolved or a clear decision is reached.
I treat retention and growth as connected outcomes: customers are more likely to expand when they achieve measurable value. I prioritize account health and strategic reviews while maintaining a segmented pipeline of qualified expansion opportunities.
I keep contacts, opportunities, next steps, renewal dates, risks, and activity records current so that forecasting is reliable and no customer commitment is missed. I also use CRM reporting to prioritize accounts by health, revenue potential, and engagement level.
I would first clarify the underlying concern and reconnect the discussion to the outcomes the customer values. I would present the relevant business case, explore the best-fit package or terms within policy, and involve internal stakeholders when needed rather than making unsupported concessions.
