Sample interview questions
How do you manage a high volume of legal requests while maintaining quality and turnaround times?

I use a structured intake and triage process that categorizes requests by risk, urgency, template availability, and required approvals. I rely on playbooks and standard clauses for repeatable work, track turnaround metrics, and escalate exceptions early so stakeholders receive clear expectations.

Describe your approach to negotiating an NDA or statement of work independently.

I first identify the business objective, applicable template, key risk areas, and any non-negotiable policy positions. I then focus negotiations on material issues such as confidentiality scope, liability, intellectual property, term, and termination, documenting deviations and escalating only where risk exceeds my authority.

What experience do you have with legal technology and contracting tools?

I have worked with contract lifecycle and business systems to intake requests, maintain records, route approvals, generate documents, and report on workflow performance. I am comfortable using tools such as Salesforce, Conga, DocuSign, Airtable, and document-review platforms, and I quickly learn new systems and processes.

How would you improve a recurring legal process that creates delays for sales stakeholders?

I would map the current workflow, analyze request data and stakeholder feedback, and identify the specific bottlenecks or unclear decision points. I would propose a scalable solution such as standardized intake fields, pre-approved fallback language, routing rules, or updated guidance, then measure the impact after implementation.

How do you use generative AI responsibly in legal operations work?

I use approved AI tools to accelerate low-risk tasks such as summarizing documents, drafting first-pass communications, organizing information, and identifying recurring themes. I protect confidential information, verify all outputs against source materials and legal guidance, and ensure that final judgment remains with qualified legal professionals.
