Sample interview questions
I would explain the program scope, finance functions involved, technology solution, governance model, and delivery milestones. I would highlight how I managed dependencies, risks, stakeholder decisions, adoption activities, and measurable outcomes such as improved close-cycle speed, reporting quality, or planning efficiency.
I establish a consistent governance cadence with concise executive dashboards, milestone reporting, RAID logs, decision registers, and clear escalation paths. I tailor updates to focus on business value, delivery health, material dependencies, decisions required, and actions needed from sponsors.
I would assess the impact, owner, alternatives, and decision deadline immediately, then document it in the RAID log. I would convene the relevant business, technology, and partner stakeholders, recommend mitigation options, secure a timely decision, and communicate the revised plan and residual risk to leadership.
I facilitate structured requirement discussions that clarify the business outcome, control needs, process impacts, and priority of each request. I then work with technical teams to identify feasible options, document trade-offs, and obtain accountable stakeholder decisions through the program governance process.
I define measurable benefits early, assign accountable owners, and create a baseline for operational, financial, and adoption metrics. After launch, I track benefit realization through governance reviews, address gaps in process adoption or data quality, and ensure ownership transitions effectively into business operations.

- Build and maintain program governance, including executive status reporting, steering committee materials, RAID logs, and portfolio dashboards.
- Identify, track, and proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies across Finance, Corporate Technology, and external implementation partners.
- Partner with Functional Transformation Leads across FP&A, Controllership, Treasury, Tax, and other Finance organizations to ensure business requirements remain aligned throughout delivery.
- Collaborate with Corporate Technology teams and System Integrators to support successful implementation of Finance systems, data platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Monitor program health, benefit realization, and strategic outcomes, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business value beyond project completion.
- Support organizational change management activities by partnering on communication plans, training, adoption strategies, and stakeholder engagement.
- Facilitate governance meetings, executive reviews, decision-making sessions, and cross-functional workshops with senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement by standardizing governance processes, templates, reporting frameworks, and program management best practices across the Finance Transformation Office.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and transparency across all program stakeholders while maintaining focus on delivery excellence.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience delivering Finance Transformation, ERP, Enterprise Planning, or Data Platform initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations.
- Experience managing enterprise implementations involving platforms such as Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, NetSuite, Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Strong knowledge of project governance methodologies, including RAID management, RACI/DACI frameworks, executive reporting, and portfolio governance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives while balancing competing priorities and executive expectations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience presenting program updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Experience working collaboratively with Finance organizations, Corporate Technology teams, and third-party implementation partners.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and ambiguous requirements.
Nice to Have

- Exposure to SOX controls, audit readiness, or IPO environments.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
