Sample interview questions
How do you approach discovery for an enterprise prospect evaluating a conversational AI platform?

I begin by mapping the customer’s current contact-center workflows, business objectives, operational pain points, technical environment, and success metrics. I then validate stakeholders, decision criteria, integration constraints, and the financial impact of the problem before tailoring a solution narrative.

Describe how you would structure a proof-of-value engagement.

I would define a focused use case, baseline metrics, stakeholders, technical prerequisites, timeline, and measurable acceptance criteria at the outset. During the engagement, I would train users, monitor adoption, document outcomes, and conclude with an executive readout connecting results to a clear ROI case.

How do you make a technical demo effective for both business and technical stakeholders?

I align the demo to the prospect’s stated priorities rather than presenting generic features. I explain the business outcome first, demonstrate the relevant workflow and technical architecture, address integration and security questions, and end with agreed next steps tied to the evaluation process.

How would you respond when a prospect asks for functionality that is not currently available?

I would acknowledge the requirement directly, clarify the underlying business outcome, and avoid making unsupported commitments. I would explore viable workflows or alternatives with product and engineering teams, communicate the product roadmap appropriately, and ensure expectations are documented clearly.

What metrics would you use to build an ROI case for a contact-center AI solution?

I would use metrics such as average handle time, conversion rate, customer satisfaction, first-contact resolution, agent ramp time, quality assurance coverage, retention, and cost per interaction. The model should compare baseline performance with expected improvements and clearly state assumptions, implementation costs, and the projected payback period.
