Sample interview questions
How would you decide which field programs to prioritize for the East and Central regions?

I would start with regional Sales priorities, target-account concentration, pipeline gaps, historical program performance, and expected cost per qualified opportunity. I would rank programs using clear assumptions for attendance, meeting volume, opportunity conversion, sourced and influenced pipeline, then shift spend toward the highest-impact formats.

Describe how you would measure the success of an executive dinner program.

I would define success before launch through target-account attendance, seniority of attendees, meetings created, follow-up completion, opportunity progression, sourced and influenced pipeline, and ROI. I would also gather qualitative feedback from Sales and attendees to improve audience selection, content, and experience design for future dinners.

How do you ensure strong Sales follow-up after an event?

I align with Sales before the program on named accounts, attendee goals, meeting ownership, qualification criteria, and follow-up service-level expectations. Afterward, I provide timely attendee and engagement data, monitor outreach completion and opportunity movement, and review results with Sales to identify improvements.

How would you manage 8–10 concurrent programs in one quarter?

I would use a standardized planning cadence with program briefs, milestones, owners, budget trackers, risk logs, and post-event reporting templates. I would prioritize initiatives by revenue impact and deadlines, automate repeatable workflows where possible, and communicate trade-offs early when resources or timelines change.

What would you do if a costly event produced strong attendance but little pipeline?

I would analyze attendee fit, meeting quality, message relevance, conversion points, Sales follow-up, and attribution timing before judging the event solely on immediate pipeline. Based on the findings, I would adjust the target list, format, pre-event outreach, onsite engagement, or follow-up motion, and reduce or reallocate investment if the program cannot demonstrate a credible path to business impact.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Event & Field Marketing Manager – East / Central to join Cresta’s Revenue Marketing team. This role owns strategy, execution, and performance across a high-volume portfolio of field marketing programs — from industry events and executive dinners to regional programs, roadshows, customer experiences, and partner activations.

This isn’t an events-for-events-sake role. Field Marketing is a meaningful pipeline channel at Cresta, and you’ll partner closely with Sales to determine where we invest, which accounts and audiences we target, and how programs contribute to pipeline creation and acceleration.

You’ll typically own 8–10+ programs per quarter and be responsible for taking them from initial strategy through execution, Sales follow-up, measurement, and optimization.

Location: This is a remote role supporting our East region. We strongly prefer candidates currently based on the U.S. East Coast, but are open to candidates in the Central U.S. who can easily support Eastern time zones and regional travel. This role requires approximately 20–30% travel, with heavier travel during peak event seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Own Field Strategy + Execution: Build and execute field marketing programs aligned to regional Sales priorities, target accounts, and pipeline goals.
  • Drive Pipeline + ROI: Set program KPIs, track sourced and influenced pipeline, measure conversion and ROI, and translate results into clear recommendations.
  • Partner Closely with Sales: Work with Sales before, during, and after programs on account targeting, attendance, meetings, follow-up, and opportunity acceleration.
  • Manage a High-Volume Portfolio: Own 8–10+ programs per quarter across tradeshows, executive dinners, roadshows, customer programs, regional activations, and partner events.
  • Own Programs End-to-End: Manage strategy, budgets, vendors, contracts, promotion, attendee experience, onsite execution, and post-event reporting.
  • Make Smart Investment Decisions: Evaluate program performance, forecast spend, identify trade-offs, and shift investment toward the programs driving the strongest business impact.
  • Build Integrated Campaigns: Partner with Demand Gen, Digital, Product Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales to drive attendance and engagement across target accounts.
  • Create Standout Experiences: Bring new ideas and formats to the table that differentiate Cresta and create meaningful experiences for customers and prospects.
  • Build Repeatable Playbooks: Develop processes and workflows that allow the field marketing motion to scale as Cresta grows.
  • Support Executive Programs: Partner with Cresta executives and Sales leaders on messaging, speaker preparation, executive experiences, and customer engagement.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of B2B field marketing, regional marketing, event marketing, or integrated campaign experience
  • Experience owning field programs end-to-end, from strategy through execution and measurement
  • Comfortable managing 8–10+ concurrent programs per quarter in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong understanding of pipeline, revenue attribution, conversion, and event ROI
  • Proven experience partnering directly with Sales on account targeting, program strategy, and follow-up
  • Experience managing program budgets, vendors, contracts, and competing priorities
  • Strong communicator who can work effectively across Sales, Marketing, executives, agencies, and external partners
  • Currently based in the Eastern or Central U.S., with a strong preference for East Coast
  • Willing and able to travel approximately 20–30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS or startup environment
  • Experience with AI, Contact Center, Customer Experience, or adjacent enterprise technology
  • Experience supporting enterprise or strategic Sales teams
  • Experience with ABM/account-based field marketing programs
  • Previous Sales/SDR experience or strong understanding of enterprise Sales processes
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, and field marketing/event tools such as Mobly

Perks & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision plans designed to fit you and your family’s needs
  • Flexible vacation time to support a healthy work-life blend
  • Paid parental leave
  • Monthly gym and phone allowance
  • Work-from-home office stipend
  • Lunches and dinners for in-office employees via Grubhub
