Sample interview questions
I would begin with market segmentation and a focused target-account list based on API modernization, cloud transformation, and AI connectivity priorities. I would define account plans, buyer maps, partner motions, qualification standards, and weekly pipeline inspection metrics so the team can create repeatable coverage rather than rely on opportunistic deals.
I establish clear stage-exit criteria, inspect deal evidence rather than seller optimism, and run a consistent weekly forecast cadence. I compare conversion, aging, coverage, and commit-quality trends over time, then coach managers and sellers on the specific gaps affecting forecast reliability.
I would use a structured hiring scorecard covering enterprise selling capability, territory-building experience, technical curiosity, and collaboration. Retention comes from clear expectations, equitable territories, regular coaching, visible career development, and a culture that recognizes both disciplined execution and results.
I would review the account's business priorities, stakeholder map, qualification gaps, competitive position, and mutual action plan. Together, we would identify the next highest-value action, strengthen executive alignment, validate technical and commercial outcomes, and remove internal barriers to progress.
I create shared account priorities, measurable pipeline targets, and an agreed operating rhythm for campaign planning and deal reviews. I make ownership explicit, use feedback from field activity to refine programs, and ensure partners are engaged where they can materially improve access, credibility, or delivery confidence.
