About this role.
About ElevenLabs
ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company transforming how we interact with technology.
We launched in January 2023 with the first human-like AI voice model. Today, we serve millions of users and thousands of businesses – from fast-growing startups to large enterprises like Deutsche Telekom and Meta. Our investors are some of the world’s most prominent, including Andreessen Horowitz, ICONIQ Growth and Sequoia. We’ve raised $781M in funding and our last valuation was $22B – multiples of 11, always.
We have expanded from voice into three main platforms:
ElevenAgents enables businesses to deliver seamless and intelligent customer experiences, with the integrations, testing, monitoring, and reliability necessary to deploy voice and chat agents at scale.
ElevenCreative empowers creators and marketers to generate and edit speech, music, image, and video across 70+ languages.
ElevenAPI gives developers access to our leading AI audio foundational models.
Everything we do is the result of the creativity and commitment of our team – builders doing the best work of their lives. We are researchers, engineers, and operators. IOI medalists and ex-founders. If you want to work hard and create lasting positive impact, we want to hear from you.
How we work
High-velocity: Rapid experimentation, lean autonomous teams, and minimal bureaucracy.
Impact not job titles: We don’t have job titles. Instead, it’s about the impact you have. No task is above or beneath you.
AI first: We use AI to move faster with higher-quality results. We do this across the whole company—from engineering to growth to operations.
Excellence everywhere: Everything we do should match the quality of our AI models.
Global team: We prioritize your talent, not your location.
What we offer
Innovative culture: You’ll be part of a generational opportunity to define the trajectory of AI, surrounded by a team pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Growth paths: Joining ElevenLabs means joining a dynamic team with countless opportunities to drive impact – beyond your immediate role and responsibilities.
Learning & development: ElevenLabs proactively supports professional development through an annual discretionary stipend.
Social travel: We also provide an annual discretionary stipend to meet up with colleagues each year, however you choose.
Annual team offsite: Each year, we bring your entire team together in a new location – past offsites have included Croatia, Italy and Cancún
Co-working: If you’re not located near one of our main hubs, we offer a monthly co-working stipend.
About The Role
We’re scaling from 1,000 → 4,000 employees across 50+ countries, and the complexity of our teams, hubs, and workflows is growing quickly. Our People Partners play a critical role in enabling leads, supporting peeps, and protecting performance and culture as we grow. As a People Partner at ElevenLabs, you’ll sit at the intersection of leadership coaching, performance, and day-to-day people guidance.
You’ll support Engineering and Product leaders across our international teams, getting to know their rhythms, challenges, and talent needs. Much of the role is coaching: helping leads handle feedback, performance, growth, and change well, and surfacing people issues early. You’ll work as part of the wider People team, with Employee Relations and People Ops alongside you on more complex cases.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys coaching, can context-switch quickly, builds trust easily, and brings clarity and calm to fast-moving environments.
You will
Partner with Engineering and Product leaders across our international teams to support team health, performance, and talent density.
Coach leads and managers through people challenges, including feedback, performance, conflict, growth conversations, and team change.
Run proactive 1:1 sessions mainly with leads, and with peeps where needed, surfacing issues early.
Contribute to organisational design work, advising on team structures, spans and layers, and capability gaps.
Support leaders and teams through change, such as team moves and new ways of working.
Support key People programs (performance reviews, engagement, recognition, and lead enablement) for Engineering and Product.
Work with Employee Relations and, where required, Legal Counsel on early-stage ER issues, escalating complex cases.
Spot patterns across teams and share them with the wider People team to shape new People initiatives.
Work with People Ops & Compliance teams to support terminations, mobility, and local requirements in each country where needed.
Requirements
Experience supporting leaders and teams through people topics such as performance, coaching, growth, and team change.
Strong coaching skills, with the confidence to guide managers through difficult conversations.
Strong judgment and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, clarity, and fairness.
Ability to thrive in a high-velocity, ambiguous environment and make decisions with incomplete information.
Comfortable with both partnership and hands-on execution when needed.
Comfortable working with leaders across different timezones and cultures; experience supporting globally distributed or multi-jurisdiction teams is a strong plus.
Experience supporting Engineering or Product teams.

Sample interview questions
I first clarify the observed performance gap, business impact, prior feedback, and desired outcome. I help the leader prepare direct, specific and respectful messaging, then agree on clear expectations, support, milestones, and documentation. I also schedule follow-ups to ensure the conversation leads to a fair and consistent process rather than a one-time intervention.
I would triangulate signals from leader conversations, employee feedback, engagement data, attrition patterns, and performance processes while protecting confidentiality. After validating the pattern, I would frame the root causes and risks for relevant leaders, propose practical interventions, and define measurable indicators such as manager effectiveness, retention, or engagement. I would then monitor results and adjust the approach with the wider People team.
I would begin with the business strategy, product roadmap, operating model, decision rights, and capability gaps. I would assess team boundaries, leadership capacity, spans and layers, dependencies, and whether the current structure enables accountability and delivery. I would present options with trade-offs, support leaders through implementation, and establish communication and change-management plans for affected employees.
I gather facts carefully, maintain confidentiality, and distinguish between coaching matters, policy concerns, and issues requiring formal investigation or legal review. I partner early with Employee Relations, People Operations, Compliance, and local counsel to ensure decisions are fair, documented, and appropriate for the relevant jurisdiction. I also help leaders communicate decisions clearly and identify preventive actions where patterns emerge.
I prioritize according to employee risk, business impact, and urgency, while making assumptions and decision owners explicit. I create lightweight operating rhythms with leaders, document actions and follow-ups, and communicate trade-offs early. This allows me to move quickly without losing consistency, confidentiality, or trust.
