About this role.

What We Do:

Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers’ protection.

Huntress now secures more than 6M endpoints and 17M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.

Sample interview questions
How have you improved retention or expansion within an existing partner portfolio?

I segment partners by adoption, renewal timing, growth potential, and risk signals, then create account plans with measurable next steps. I use regular business reviews to connect product usage and service outcomes to the partner's commercial goals, which helps identify expansion opportunities early and reduce renewal risk.

How would you build credibility with an MSP partner that is hesitant to adopt another cybersecurity platform?

I would first understand its customer base, existing stack, operational constraints, and security concerns. I would then position the platform around practical outcomes, such as reducing analyst burden and improving customer protection, supported by relevant use cases and a structured adoption plan.

Which metrics would you monitor to manage a channel account portfolio successfully?

I would monitor gross and net dollar retention, renewal forecast accuracy, product adoption, partner engagement, expansion pipeline, partner satisfaction, and at-risk account indicators. Together, these measures show both current portfolio health and future revenue potential.

Describe how you use Salesforce or another CRM to manage partner accounts.

I maintain accurate contact maps, opportunity stages, renewal dates, activity history, risk notes, and next actions. I use dashboards to prioritize accounts, forecast renewals and expansion, and ensure that follow-ups and account plans are visible to internal stakeholders.

How would you respond if a partner's renewal was at risk because of low product adoption?

I would diagnose the cause through a focused conversation and usage review, identifying whether the issue is onboarding, technical fit, training, or unclear value. I would align the partner on a recovery plan with owners, milestones, enablement resources, and success metrics, then communicate progress consistently through the renewal process.
