Sample interview questions
I first identify the intended audience, message hierarchy, and tone rather than translating word for word. I then create idiomatic German copy that follows local stylistic conventions while maintaining approved terminology, campaign intent, and brand guidelines.
I review context, screen purpose, variables, and character constraints before translating. I preserve placeholders exactly, prioritize clear and concise German wording, and flag source ambiguity or functional issues early for clarification.
I assess the machine output against the source for meaning, terminology, fluency, and locale suitability. I correct errors that affect accuracy, readability, style, or user experience, while avoiding unnecessary rewrites that reduce productivity.
I use translation memories, termbases, client style guides, and project reference materials throughout the work. I also run QA checks for repeated strings, numbers, tags, terminology, and formatting before delivery.
I plan capacity around confirmed deadlines, break assignments into reviewable daily targets, and communicate promptly about questions or risks. This supports reliable delivery while preserving time for self-review and CAT-tool QA.
