Sample interview questions
I would segment accounts by strategic fit, security and privacy maturity, current initiatives, and expansion potential. I would establish account-specific stakeholder maps, mutual action plans, pipeline targets, and partner strategies, then review progress regularly against coverage and forecast objectives.
I identify the economic buyer, technical champions, security stakeholders, legal and procurement contacts early in the process. I align their priorities to a quantified business case, document decision criteria and process, and use a mutual close plan to maintain momentum and accountability.
I use defined qualification criteria, validate customer next steps and decision dates, and separate committed opportunities from upside deals. I review deal risks, stakeholder engagement, competition, and procurement status frequently, updating Salesforce promptly with evidence-based projections.
For a CISO, I would focus on gaining visibility into sensitive data, reducing exposure, and strengthening security controls. For a privacy leader, I would emphasize data discovery, governance, compliance workflows, and the ability to manage privacy risk while enabling responsible data use.
I would explain how I reassessed the stakeholder map and uncovered the source of delay, such as an unaddressed technical concern or unclear economic value. I would then bring in the appropriate internal experts, reset the mutual action plan with the customer, and create a clear path through validation, legal review, and close.
