Introduction

Socure is evolving its partner ecosystem toward a sales-driven channel model. As a Strategic Alliance Director, you will own the performance and growth of a portfolio of active strategic partners. You will work as a quota-carrying leader, turning those relationships into predictable, scalable revenue through joint planning, co-selling, and disciplined pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a Revenue Quota: Deliver annual and quarterly revenue targets through partner-sourced and partner-influenced deals.

  • Partner Portfolio Management: Own a defined book of active partners. Drive performance, forecast accuracy, and year-over-year revenue growth across the portfolio.

  • Strategic Partner Relationships: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with partner leadership and sales teams. Run regular business reviews to align on goals, performance, and priorities.

  • Joint Business and Account Planning: Develop and execute joint business plans, account plans, and co-sell motions with each partner, in coordination with internal sales and account teams.

  • Partner-Driven Pipeline and Deal Support: Work with partners to generate pipeline, advance opportunities, and close deals. Support deal registration and resolve conflicts across channels.

  • Pipeline and Forecast Discipline: Maintain accurate CRM hygiene. Report weekly on partner pipeline, forecast, and attainment.

  • Partner Enablement: Deliver enablement sessions, ensure partner sales and technical readiness, and equip partners to position Socure effectively.

  • Co-Marketing: Partner with Marketing to launch demand generation initiatives with measurable pipeline results.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Leadership, Marketing, Product, and Operations to remove obstacles and accelerate partner-driven opportunities.

  • Strategic Feedback: Serve as the voice of the partner to influence product strategy, GTM design, and enablement materials.

  • Selective Partner Expansion: Identify and activate new partners where there are clear gaps in target markets or verticals, in collaboration with Partnerships leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years in channel sales, alliances, or partner account management, ideally in fintech, SaaS, or identity/fraud solutions.

  • Demonstrated success carrying and exceeding revenue quotas through partner ecosystems.

  • Proven ability to manage, grow, and retain high-performing strategic partner relationships.

  • Deep understanding of co-selling motions, deal registration, and partner pipeline management.

  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills across executive and sales levels.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and partner management tools (PRM, attribution, co-sell tracking).

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

  • Experience with API-driven SaaS products, identity verification, or fraud prevention.

  • Established network across fintech, banking, or digital commerce ecosystems.

  • History of quota overachievement in a partner or channel-driven sales role.

  • Familiarity with identity verification, fraud prevention, or compliance-related solutions.

  • Experience recruiting and onboarding new partners.

Sample interview questions
How have you turned a strategic partner relationship into measurable revenue growth?

I begin with a joint account and business plan that defines target segments, named accounts, revenue goals, owners, and review milestones. I then establish a regular pipeline cadence with the partner and internal sales team, remove deal blockers quickly, and use performance data to refine the co-sell motion.

How do you maintain forecast accuracy for partner-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities?

I apply consistent qualification criteria, validate next steps and close dates directly with account owners, and separate early partner interest from verified sales opportunities. Weekly CRM reviews, stage-conversion analysis, and documented partner commitments help keep the forecast realistic.

Describe how you would handle channel conflict between a partner and a direct sales team.

I would first clarify account ownership, deal-registration rules, and the contributions of each party using documented evidence. I would facilitate a solution that protects the customer experience, recognizes legitimate partner value, and preserves long-term trust while escalating only when governance requires it.

What would your first 90 days look like in this role?

I would assess the existing partner portfolio, revenue performance, pipeline quality, account overlap, and enablement gaps. Next, I would prioritize high-potential partners, align joint plans with internal sellers, implement an operating cadence, and identify selective recruitment opportunities where coverage gaps materially affect growth.

How do you enable partners to sell a complex identity or fraud-prevention product effectively?

I combine product education with role-specific sales plays, discovery questions, competitive positioning, use cases, and clear qualification criteria. I also reinforce training through live deal support, feedback loops, certifications where appropriate, and measurement of pipeline creation and conversion after enablement.
