Your Role at impact.com:

Impact.com powers the partnership economy, helping brands and partners grow revenue through a modern SaaS platform used by thousands of companies globally. We’re investing heavily in our growth, and this role sits at the centre of how data powers our go-to-market strategy and sales enablement. We’re looking for an Analytics Manager to scale our marketing function. This is a senior individual contributor role – we need someone who’s comfortable owning a domain of the marketing analytics portfolio with light oversight.

As Marketing Analytics Manager, you’ll own the quality, consistency, and strategic impact of the core reporting used by our GTM teams to shape and prioritize multimillion dollar investment decisions. You’ll work on a modern cloud stack (BigQuery, dbt, Looker) with strong support from Marketing and Sales teams – who will be your chief internal customers, and Analytics Engineering, who own the data platform and semantic layer you work with and on.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the process for the weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews that marketing and sales leaders use to track campaign performance and business trends — and improve them over time so they drive decisions rather than descriptions.
  • Translate vague business questions (“why is pipeline soft in EMEA?”) into workable analyses, sell a solution, and manage the delivery process efficiently.
    • Partner with internal customers and engineers to move recurring manual reporting into useful tools that drive decisions which save time and money.
    • Work directly with stakeholders across marketing, sales, finance, product, and customer success to scope what they actually need and design a plan to get them that information efficiently and with the right level of accuracy.
  • Contribute to data collection and modeling conversations where marketing’s needs intersect with the broader company data model.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of business analytics experience in a software or information business.
  • A strong understanding of SQL and working proficiency with Python — enough to do your own analysis end-to-end without needing outside help.
  • A track record of designing dashboards and reports that people use to actually make decisions, and a sense of taste on what makes the difference between decisive reporting and vague reporting.
  • Ability to explain an analysis or technical concept to colleagues in a way that drives action.
  • Comfortable owning a workstream end-to-end with light oversight: you’ll get direction on weekly priorities and outcomes, but will be trusted to set your own week and say no to the right things.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with attribution modeling — multi-touch, time decay, incrementality
  • Experience with lead scoring
  • Experience with integration of sales and marketing data and a full-funnel perspective
  • Experience with dbt, databricks, Looker, or another data management tool
  • Experience in partnership marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.

Sample interview questions
How would you investigate a decline in EMEA pipeline performance?

I would first validate data completeness and metric definitions, then segment pipeline by channel, campaign, geography, industry, funnel stage, and time cohort. I would compare conversion rates and volumes against historical baselines, identify the largest drivers of variance, and present prioritized hypotheses with recommended actions and owners.

Describe how you would improve a recurring executive marketing report.

I would begin by learning which decisions the report is intended to support and which metrics stakeholders actually use. I would simplify the narrative around leading indicators, outcomes, drivers, and actions, automate reliable data preparation, and collect feedback after each review to refine the dashboard and cadence.

What is your approach to working with ambiguous stakeholder requests?

I translate the request into a structured problem statement: the decision to be made, the target metric, relevant population, timeframe, constraints, and acceptable level of accuracy. I then align on scope, propose an analytical approach and delivery timeline, and communicate assumptions before building the analysis.

How have you used SQL and Python together in an analytics workflow?

I use SQL for scalable extraction, transformation, and aggregation in the warehouse, then use Python for exploratory analysis, statistical checks, visualization, or repeatable modeling tasks. I document definitions and validate results so findings can be reproduced and productionized where needed.

How would you assess marketing attribution beyond last-touch reporting?

I would combine last-touch reporting with multi-touch and cohort-based views to understand channel contribution across the funnel. Where data and experimentation allow, I would incorporate incrementality evidence, account for lag and channel interactions, and clearly communicate the assumptions and limitations behind each attribution method.
