Travel Consultant

I am a motivated and reliable individual with a strong passion for travel and working in dynamic, people-focused environments. I am highly adaptable and confident when facing new challenges, with proven experience in customer service, sales, teamwork, and communication. I am passionate about delivering high-quality service while adapting to diverse cultures, individuals, and environments.

Currently, I work as a Travel Consultant at Hays Travel, where I create personalized travel experiences by booking flights, accommodation, cruises, and package holidays tailored to individual customer needs and budgets. I consistently deliver excellent customer service through strong communication, destination knowledge, and attention to detail. I regularly meet and overachieve sales targets, contributing to branch performance and repeat business.

In addition to my travel consultancy role, I manage and contribute to the branch’s social media presence, creating engaging content and visually appealing posts to promote destinations, offers, and the business. I use social media platforms to increase customer engagement, enquiries, and brand awareness. I manage bookings from initial enquiry through to departure, including payments, amendments, and resolving customer queries, ensuring all bookings comply with company policies and travel regulations.

Previously, I worked as a Lifeguard at Weymouth Bay & Seaview Holiday Park, where I ensured the safety of guests by actively lifeguarding pool areas and responding to emergencies. I am trained in CPR and first aid, with regular refresher training. I also worked across multiple areas including poolside, cleaning duties, and reception, operating tills, maintaining stock presentation, and resolving customer issues professionally.

I have experience as a Teaching Assistant during a placement at Wyke Regis Primary Federation, supporting children with their learning and development in a classroom environment. I adapted communication and approach to meet individual needs and developed strong interpersonal, organisational, and teamwork skills.

Additionally, I worked as a Waitress at The Gloucester Pub, providing efficient and friendly service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. I took orders, served food, and handled customer concerns professionally, developing strong time management and multitasking skills.

My education includes a Level 3 BTEC in Health & Social Care from Weymouth College and GCSEs from Budmouth Academy, including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Drama, and German. I am CPR and First Aid trained and confident working with diverse individuals and cultures.
