Senior Research Scientist III

I am Maria Simona Gutoiu, a dedicated Senior Research Scientist III with extensive experience in chemical synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanocomposites. Over the years, I have developed a strong expertise in structural, microstructural, and magnetic characterization of synthesized nanoparticles, contributing significantly to research and development projects. My work primarily focuses on hard/soft magnetic nanocomposite materials with core/shell structures, where I apply advanced scientific methods to innovate and improve material properties.

In addition to my scientific research, I have gained valuable leadership experience as a Guest Experience Leader at Premier Restaurants Romania, where I coordinate teams to ensure exceptional customer service and continuously improve performance indicators. This role has enhanced my communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills, allowing me to work effectively across departments and maintain high service standards.

My academic background includes a PhD in Physics, with a thesis on structural and magnetic properties of hard/soft exchange-coupled materials, and multiple master’s degrees in Solid State Physics, Complex Molecular Systems, and Atomic and Nuclear Methods in Environmental Studies. I have also contributed to educational activities as a research assistant and lab assistant, supporting sample preparation, investigation, and laboratory management.

I am proficient in various scientific software tools such as Microsoft Office, Kaleida, Origin, Powder Cell, and Full Proof, which support my research activities. I have published numerous ISI papers, participated in over 50 conferences, and have been cited extensively, reflecting my commitment to advancing scientific knowledge.

Fluent in Romanian and an independent user of English, I am eager to continue contributing to research and development in the field of magnetic materials while leveraging my leadership and communication skills in multidisciplinary environments.
