I am a performing arts honours graduate with extensive experience in theatre, interdisciplinary creative projects, and education. My passion lies in arts management, cultural institutions, and understanding the role of policy and structure in supporting artistic practice. I am deeply committed to collaboration, accessibility, and cultural engagement within the arts sector.
As the founder and creative director of Beautiful Beings in Colour, I lead a digital storytelling platform that centers conversations with individuals of the diaspora across film, digital media, and writing. I oversee all aspects of creative direction including research, interviewing, narrative development, editing, platform strategy, and audience engagement. My work explores themes of belonging, identity, artistic expression, and the Pan–African experience through long-form interviews and short-form digital storytelling distributed across social media and streaming platforms.
I also work as an independent creative practitioner developing interdisciplinary creative work across film, prose, performance, and digital storytelling. My projects explore memory, Black womanhood, diasporic identity, and emotional interiority through documentary, poetic, and hybrid narrative forms. This includes essay writing, experimental prose, performance-based storytelling, and short-form digital video content.
Previously, I founded and organized the World Hunger Campaign, a weekly food drive supporting local orphanages. I coordinated collection, distribution, and volunteer participation while promoting community engagement and awareness around food insecurity.
My skills encompass creative and concept development, scriptwriting fundamentals, directing and performance coaching, video editing, production and set management, film theory and analysis, art direction and production design, and professional collaboration within film crews. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans and currently a Master’s degree candidate in Arts Markets & Management at the University Institute of Lisbon, expected to complete in 2028.
I have received multiple awards including Outstanding Achievement for a Stage Production at AFDA Cape Town, Best Theatre Production Award at AFDA Port Elizabeth, and several monologue competition awards. I am committed to continuing my growth as a creative practitioner and contributing meaningfully to the arts and cultural sectors.
