I am currently pursuing my Texas Teacher Certification with an expected completion date in 2025. I am working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Psychology at the University of Houston, where I have maintained a GPA of 3.42. I also hold an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Technology from Houston Community College. My certification journey includes the iTeach TEXAS Alternative Certification Program and the Texas Educator Certificate with specialization in EC-12 Special Education and EC-6 Core Subjects.
My professional experience includes working as a SPED Instructional Aid at International Leadership of Texas, where I assist students with special education needs by ensuring they receive accommodations outlined in their IEPs. I also collect and enter data for special education reports and help maintain classroom equipment. Previously, I have served as a Substitute Teacher at International Leadership of Texas and Kokua Education, instructing various subjects such as math, ELAR, science, and social studies to students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
In addition to classroom roles, I have interned with the YMCA of Greater Houston as a Community Impact Intern, where I researched community services and supported members by connecting them to appropriate resources. I also facilitated the operation of an on-site food pantry. My extracurricular activities include tutoring in ELAR and math for youth empowerment organizations.
I am skilled in lesson planning, performance assessment planning, classroom management, special education, Microsoft applications, Google Workspace, community resource navigation, and data collection and research. I am passionate about fostering interactive learning environments and supporting diverse student needs through individualized instruction.
I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to a full-time teaching position where I can continue to grow professionally and make a positive impact on students’ educational experiences.
