We're democratizing commerce.

Bolt is on a mission to democratize commerce. We relentlessly prioritize our retailers—putting their brands front and center while enabling frictionless shopping at any touchpoint in the customer journey. At the center of it all is our rapidly growing universal shopper network—Bolt merchants such as Saks OFF 5TH, Revolve, and Casper can access tens of millions of shoppers, offering them a best-in-class checkout.

And revolutionizing ecommerce is only half of the equation—we’re also transforming the way we work. At Bolt, we have created a work environment where people learn to drive impact, take risks and make big bets, and grow from feedback, all while feeling welcomed and accepted for who they are. Come join us on the adventure today!

Bolt is looking for a talented Director of Finance to join Bolt’s high-impact Finance organization.  The Finance team plays an integral role in managing the long-term growth plans, ensuring the allocation of resources to strategic initiatives, and providing guidance and support to the rest of the organization to accelerate growth and deliver superior financial outcomes. This person will lead a team of talented individuals and should be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to grow and support the Corporate, Go-To-Market and Strategic finance functions. This role oversees FP&A, corporate finance, long term and short-term forecasting and planning, board management, Go-To-Market finance and sales deal support, along with strategic insights, corporate development, and finance analytics.

This person will be a key leader on the team and will be tasked with providing insights to the CFO/Head of Finance and other team members on key economic decisions and various growth channels and opportunities. This person will help guide the company in determining how to best deploy capital, scale systems, hire great people, and prepare the company to deliver on Bolt’s long-term business strategy.

The right candidate has strong analytical skills to be able to apply logic in solving often ambiguous problems, and equally strong communication skills to influence stakeholders through key decisions.

This person reports to the Head of Finance.

What you will be doing

  • Develop robust management reporting including monthly / quarterly / yearly performance to plan with variance analysis and insights to Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to KPI reporting and data analysis efforts, offering insights to business partners and supporting overall business management.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership as a trusted advisor on GTM strategy, sales compensation, deal desk support, partnerships, and international expansion.
  • Coordinate and prepare quarterly board reports for review by the Board of Directors, Bolt’s Investors, and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Drive strategic cross-functional business partnerships, ensuring Bolt’s financial planning and operational rigor are efficiently deployed across the organization.
  • Lead a high-caliber Finance team that is central to Bolt’s efficiency and scalability by developing and adding new talent to the team globally.
  • Lead special projects and ad hoc analysis to support strategic goals, and operational scaling.

What would set you up for success

  • 2+ years in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Development or other strategy-oriented work
  • 6+ years of experience in Strategic or Corporate Finance
  • High-growth, product-led startup experience
