About Gusto
We serve 200,000+ new and growing businesses with modern payroll, benefits, and HR tools.
As a software engineering manager for the Payroll Onboarding Team, youβll empower a team of 5+ engineers making the flow simple and easy for companies new to Gusto, whether theyβre a brand new business running their first ever payroll, or theyβre moving hundreds of employees to Gusto. Youβll collaborate with your teamβs product and design leads, as well as partners across sales, marketing, and customer success to drive iteration and innovation for one of the first and most important user experiences at Gusto.
The Payroll Onboarding team owns the front door for all small businesses signing up for Gusto. Setting up payroll is both a huge step for a new business and a complicated, potentially scary multi-step process. The team is tasked with leveraging technologies like OCR and AI to build a human centric onboarding flow that reduces the manual work and provides businesses with a joyful first payroll experience.
