Dealer Relationship Manager, VIC

5-month secondment opportunity for Allied Credit employees

The Relationship Manager owns the relationships with all wholesale and retail dealers, promoting Allied Credit’s products, driving retail volume and meeting targets. They collaborate with dealer stakeholders (Owners, Principals, Financial Controllers, Business Managers, sales teams) and internal teams (compliance, credit, operations, marketing) to support dealer needs. The role also involves project work and partnering with Brand/OEM sales teams to boost volume and campaigns.

The role is multi-faceted and challenging and will require travel with some overnight stays to support your dealers at trade shows or conferences.

Sales and Training

• Drive dealer retail volume to achieve sales targets by developing and implementing dealer campaigns.

• Identify and engage new dealer opportunities for retail and wholesale acquisition.

• Collaborate with the Training Manager to train dealer staff.

• Support dealers in regulatory compliance and system use.

• Maintain a structured call schedule based on business priorities.

• Hold monthly meetings with senior dealer stakeholders to review performance and address issues.

• Assist with product development, incentives, promotions and competitor analysis.

• Work closely with OEM sales teams to improve support of branded products.

Wholesale Credit and Operations

• Proactively manage wholesale dealer relationships by pricing accounts to achieve target returns and develop action plans when targets are not met.

• Collaborating with stakeholders to address audit results, identify root causes and implement effective plans.

• Coordinating dealer requests for wholesale limit increases in partnership with the Wholesale Credit team.

• Organising annual review meetings to align dealers and Wholesale Credit teams on business objectives and credit requirements.

Marketing

• Provide feedback to management and Marketing on dealer, manufacturer and product marketing.

• Review in-dealership POS to ensure programs are appropriately marketed.

Compliance

• Respond promptly to requests from Introducer Monitoring Team, conducting inquiries with relevant stakeholders about potential misconduct.

• Ensure yourself and all Business Managers complete mandatory compliance training

What you will bring with you

• Experience or aptitude in retail and wholesale credit functions with relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally.

• Knowledge of corporate structures would be advantageous.

• Strong relationship-building, networking and communication skills.

• Proven problem-solving, influencing and presentation abilities using PowerPoint or equivalent.

• Customer-focused with a strategic mindset to deliver outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

• Adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Quick to learn and master business technologies, including Lightning, Wholesale Axle System, Power BI and Microsoft Office.

• Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
