Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industryโ€”an industry worth over $200B. Backed by some of the worldโ€™s leading venture capital firms, weโ€™re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the worldโ€”empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.

About the Role

Dandy is hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of our AI and CAD based digital shade and color design systemsโ€”these are novel, industry-first capabilities to be used by internal dental designers and customers to customize the shade and color of restorative products for Dandyโ€™s customers. This is a Principal/Director-level role, ideal for a product leader who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and wants to shape the future of how dentistry is designed and delivered digitally.

You will own a foundational piece of our technology platform, working at the intersection of CAD, ML, and human expertise. This isnโ€™t just about iterating on the status quoโ€”itโ€™s about building the systems that will define what digital dental design looks like in the years to come.

What You’ll Do

Product development at Dandy is a collaborative, high-impact function. Youโ€™ll serve as the connective tissue between design, engineering, operations, and business leadership to drive both strategy and execution.

  • Define and execute the product vision for our shade design systems, setting a long-term direction aligned with company priorities and customer needs.

  • Partner with CAD, ML, and full-stack engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance tools that enable accurate, fast, and intuitive shade design.

  • Build a novel system in coordination with our automated manufacturing team

  • Deeply understand user workflowsโ€”especially those of internal designersโ€”and translate complex needs into clear, actionable product requirements.

  • Conduct customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to inform roadmap decisions and identify opportunities to innovate.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment and decision-making across stakeholders, ensuring transparency, clarity, and momentum on key initiatives.

  • Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and iteration, in a highly agile and collaborative environment.

  • Use data and qualitative insights to measure impact, communicate results, and continuously refine the product direction.

  • Interface with third-party vendors and partners as needed to evaluate and integrate complementary technologies.

What We’re Looking For

Weโ€™re looking for creative and curious product thinkers who can develop and grow a compelling vision for Dandy’s products. We seek an experienced Principal Product Manager accustomed to working in a hyper-growth, customer obsessed organization.

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, managing software products through the full lifecycle from MVP to general release and subsequent iterations

  • Experience building 3D and /or CAD design systems. Bonus points if its 0-1

  • High bias-to-action. You regularly knock down barriers and get things done, quickly.

  • Ability to drive alignment across many cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Technical competence and comfort-level. You can discuss APIs and services with the engineering team (but you donโ€™t need to be able to code).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Proven ability to think strategically, develop product roadmaps, and execute against them to deliver impactful results.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience at an operationally-intensive company

  • Comfort with writing SQL queries.

  • Previous experience in the dental or medical industries.

  • Previous experience partnering closely with an Engineering Leader, and/or working as a software engineer
