Fintua is a global leader in indirect tax compliance and tax technology. Our all-in one-platform streamlines global VAT compliance, recovery, eInvoicing and payments – helping businesses navigate the complex indirect tax landscape with ease and confidence.

Fintua is part of CluneTech, a suite of companies providing cutting-edge solutions that simplify global business. We have been recognised as a Great Place to Work for 10 consecutive years, a “Best Workplace for Women” for the past 5 years and most recently, we were delighted to be recognised as a “Best Workplace in Tech” for the past 4 years.

Our global footprint encompasses 35 offices worldwide and we do business across 100 countries on a daily basis. We have over 1,200 employees globally and are currently looking for the newest member of our team.

This role requires minimum two days per week in our Varna Office.

As a Scrum Master, you will serve as a driver and coach to our cross-functional, remote agile development teams. You will ensure that agile principles are followed, foster continuous improvement, and remove impediments to progress. You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver fintech products in a high-performing and dynamic environment.

Your number one focus is on driving and ensuring velocity with a quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a culture of accountability and ensure timely delivery of fintech solutions within agreed timelines, scope and budget.
  • Be the challenger within Scrum Teams – challenge estimates, challenge design, challenge each other – why, so our Teams deliver and operate at a high-performance level consistently.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Reviews, etc.)
  • Coach teams on Agile/Scrum best practices, especially in a remote-first environment
  • Foster strong team collaboration and a culture of transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Remove impediments that hinder the team’s progress
  • Partner with Product Owners to refine and manage product backlogs, ensuring work is well-defined and prioritized
  • Work closely and effectively with the PMO and the CPO to drive and deliver Fintua’s Roadmap.
  • Track and report on key delivery metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) and proactively identity both examples of success so they can be replicated, and areas of improvement so they can be addressed for future success.
  • Support remote teams across multiple time zones, using digital tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Teams)
  • Identify risks, escalate when necessary, and support mitigation strategies
  • Promote a high standard of communication and alignment across teams and leadership
  • Help teams maintain a balance between speed and quality, especially in regulated industry
  • Participate in Agile Community of Practice and foster cross-team learning

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

Required:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
  • Experience working with remote and/or distributed teams
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum and Kanban
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work across cultures and time zones
  • Fintech, banking, or financial services industry experience

Preferred:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I or higher
  • Technical understanding of cloud-based platforms and APIs
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience using metrics to drive team improvements
