As a Product and Sales Specialist Digital Pathology you will develop and execute comprehensive strategic and tactical sales plans to achieve revenue, margin, and market share objectives. This includes identifying and developing new business opportunities, expanding Philips’ market presence, and ensuring customer success through consultative solution selling.
Working under limited supervision, the specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams (Clinical Applications, Service, Marketing, IT, and Regulatory) to position Philips as the dedicated partner for pathology digitization and diagnostic innovation.

In this role

You are responsible for executing the commercial strategy for Philips’ Digital Pathology solutions across CEE.

This role focuses on accelerating adoption of digital transformation in pathology labs and hospitals by delivering integrated workflow and imaging solutions that combine hardware, software, and cloud capabilities, thefore requires a minimum level of clinical and IT understanding.

Your Role

  • Drive growth of the Philips Digital Pathology portfolio, including scanners, Image Management Systems, and AI-powered workflow platforms, across the CEE region.

  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies aligned with regional business objectives and local healthcare digitization priorities.

  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and ensure CRM data integrity for full visibility across the sales cycle.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with hospitals, laboratories, academic institutions, and private diagnostic providers.

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of digital pathology workflows, LIS/PACS integration, and enterprise imaging ecosystems to position Philips as a trusted digital transformation partner.

  • Lead consultative discussions with pathologists, IT specialists, procurement teams, and hospital administrators to understand customer needs.

  • Present compelling technical and clinical value propositions demonstrating Philips’ impact on diagnostic accuracy, workflow efficiency, and multi-site collaboration.

  • Support tender and proposal processes with competitive intelligence and strategic pricing recommendations.

  • Work closely with Clinical and Marketing teams to deliver tailored product demonstrations and coordinate reference site visits.

  • Collaborate with Service and Implementation teams to ensure seamless deployment, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide structured market feedback to global business units on customer needs, regulatory updates, and local market dynamics.

  • Monitor the competitive landscape, healthcare digitization trends, and government initiatives shaping the CEE region.

  • Translate insights into actionable sales tactics to drive market share and strengthen Philips’ leadership in digital pathology.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the commercial team.

You’re the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Sales, Medical Engineering, Healthcare IT or a related field

  • Clinical exposure in Pathology laboratories

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in areas such as Clinical Applications, Business Development, Clinical Sales, Sales Support or equivalent

  • Excel in stakeholder management and collaboration, forging strong partnerships across diverse groups

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent planning and organizational, project management and time management skills

  • Positive, structured, organized mindset with a high level of personal integrity and self-discipline.

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written in addition to Romanian language

  • Flexible and willing to travel within and outside Romania
