The Distribution & Fashion Portfolio Director is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of professional services projects within the distribution and fashion industries. This role holds full accountability for delivery performance, resource planning, financial outcomes, governance, and team leadership across a multi-project portfolio. The Portfolio Director partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful execution, contract compliance, predictable delivery, and strong customer outcomes. This includes leading direct reports, supporting services sales cycles, and aligning delivery operations with broader business and industry objectives.
A Day In the Life Typically Includes:
- Overseeing a portfolio of enterprise software implementation and upgrade projects for distribution and fashion clients, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Managing portfolio-level financial performance, including revenue, cost, utilization, backlog, and margin. Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on key performance indicators.
- Partnering with Sales, Solution Consulting, and Account Management to scope, estimate, price, and phase professional services engagements. Developing, reviewing, and approving statements of work (SOWs) and delivery models.
- Participating in governance meetings, executive briefings, and customer delivery status reviews to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, risk, and deliverables.
- Leading a team of Portfolio Managers and delivery resources. Assigning project responsibilities, overseeing staffing plans, providing coaching, evaluating performance, and guiding career development.
- Forecasting staffing needs by analyzing pipeline trends, active project demand, and portfolio load. Allocating resources based on skill fit, availability, and delivery risk.
- Identifying and implementing delivery process improvements to enhance execution consistency, delivery quality, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Ensuring adherence to Infor delivery methodologies, contractual obligations, and industry best practices across all projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience managing a portfolio of distribution or fashion industry enterprise software implementation projects.
- Experience with P&L responsibility or financial ownership for a professional services portfolio, including revenue, cost, margin, and utilization tracking.
- Experience managing direct reports, including hiring, staffing, workload management, and performance oversight.
- Experience supporting services sales cycles, including scoping, estimating, pricing, and developing statements of work (SOWs).
- Experience tracking and reporting on delivery KPIs such as utilization, forecast accuracy, milestone completion, risk management, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience partnering with legal, finance, and operations teams during service contract planning and execution.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% and legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing consulting or professional services engagements within the distribution, fashion, or broader enterprise software environment.
- Experience delivering multi-region or multi-time-zone projects.
- Experience with on-premise, cloud, or hybrid implementation delivery models.
- Experience with ERP, supply chain, PLM, WMS, or fashion/distribution technology platforms.
- Experience developing portfolio-level governance structures, reporting frameworks, or delivery methodologies.
