Dear Hiring Team,

I am writing to express my strong interest in the Telehealth General Practitioner position. As an experienced AHPRA-registered doctor with a background in remote patient care, I am well-prepared to deliver high-quality telehealth consultations in a fast-paced environment. My experience includes managing complex prescriptions, including Schedule 8 medications, and collaborating effectively with nursing and support teams to ensure continuity of care.

I thrive in digital-first settings and am adept at maintaining efficient workflows while upholding stringent clinical documentation and compliance standards. My commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice aligns perfectly with your mission to provide accessible, innovative healthcare.

I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your team and help drive positive patient outcomes through telehealth. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Dr. [Your Name]

How do you manage time effectively during 10-minute telehealth consults while ensuring thorough patient assessment?
I prioritize key symptoms and use structured templates to quickly gather relevant information. I also leverage digital tools for efficient documentation and rely on my clinical experience to identify urgent issues. If needed, I schedule follow-up consults for complex cases.
Can you describe your experience with Schedule 8 medications in a telehealth setting?
I have extensive experience prescribing S8 medications for conditions like chronic pain and ADHD. I follow strict protocols for verifying patient identity, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. I also coordinate with pharmacists and support teams to monitor patient safety.
How do you handle a patient who presents with a condition that is outside your comfort zone or requires immediate in-person care?
I calmly assess the urgency and explain the need for referral to the patient. I have protocols for emergency situations and can direct patients to appropriate in-person facilities. I also document the interaction thoroughly and follow up to ensure continuity.
Describe a time you had to work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a remote environment. How did you ensure effective communication?
In my previous telehealth role, I held daily huddles with nurses and admin staff via video calls. I used secure messaging for non-urgent updates and clear documentation in the EHR. I also encouraged open feedback to streamline workflows.
Why are you interested in this telehealth position, and how do you stay motivated in a high-volume remote role?
I am passionate about expanding access to healthcare and enjoy the flexibility of remote work. To stay motivated, I set personal goals for patient outcomes, take breaks to prevent burnout, and engage in continuous learning through webinars and peer discussions.
