Key Skills

UX Research User Interviews Usability Testing Wireframing Figma User-Centered Design A/B Testing Data Analysis Prototyping Collaboration

I am excited to apply for the Mid-Senior UX Researcher position at Ruby Labs. With over 3 years of experience in UX research and design, I have a proven track record of conducting user studies, creating wireframes, and delivering data-driven insights. My proficiency in tools like Figma and Visily, combined with a strong foundation in user-centered design, makes me a great fit for this role.

I have successfully led usability tests and A/B experiments that improved product engagement by 20%. I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy collaborating with product managers and developers to build seamless user experiences.

I am particularly drawn to Ruby Labs' innovative culture and diverse product portfolio. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your team and help shape intuitive, user-friendly products. Thank you for considering my application.

Can you describe a time when your UX research led to a significant product change?
In my previous role, I conducted user interviews and usability tests for a mobile app. The research revealed that users were struggling with the navigation flow. I presented my findings with journey maps and suggested a simplified navigation structure. The product team implemented the changes, resulting in a 15% increase in user retention.
How do you balance qualitative and quantitative research methods?
I start with qualitative research to understand user motivations and pain points, then use quantitative methods like surveys and analytics to validate findings at scale. For example, after interviews identified a common issue, I launched a survey to quantify the impact and prioritize fixes.
Describe your experience with remote usability testing. What tools do you use?
I have conducted remote usability tests using tools like UserTesting and Lookback. I prepare test scripts, recruit participants, and analyze recordings. Remote testing allows for diverse user feedback while being cost-effective. I also use heatmaps from Hotjar to complement the findings.
How do you present research findings to stakeholders who may not be familiar with UX?
I focus on actionable insights and business impact. I create visually compelling reports with key findings, user quotes, and video clips. I avoid jargon and instead highlight how the research supports business goals, such as increased conversion or reduced support tickets.
What is your approach to designing wireframes for both desktop and mobile?
I start with user flows and sitemaps to ensure consistency across devices. For wireframes, I use Figma to create low-fidelity sketches iteratively, then refine based on feedback. I consider responsive design principles and test prototypes on actual devices to ensure touch targets and layouts are optimized.
