JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs, including preventative maintenance on equipment, rack repairs, and door and dock plate replacements. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of the facility by maintaining various systems and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Assist with the preventive maintenance and repair of conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Equipment Repairs: Support repairs and maintenance for forklifts and pallet jacks, both mechanical and electrical.
- Electrical Work: Perform electrical duties, including troubleshooting AC applications, installing new circuits, and conducting repairs.
- HVAC Systems: Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of heating and air conditioning systems to maintain a comfortable working environment.
- Plumbing Tasks: Handle plumbing installations and repairs, including toilets, drains, fire sprinkler systems, gas lines, and lawn sprinkler systems.
- Carpentry and Welding: Execute carpentry tasks such as framing and finishing new office areas, building cabinets, and countertops. Assist with general welding projects.
- Maintenance Projects: Complete assigned indoor and outdoor maintenance projects, including dock door repairs and pantry maintenance.
- Other Duties: Perform additional related duties as assigned or requested by management.
Position Requirements
