I am writing to express my interest in the Connectivity Integration Lead position at Meta. With a strong background in data center infrastructure and connectivity systems, I have successfully led cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on schedule. My expertise in risk management and process optimization aligns with the responsibilities outlined in the job description. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to Meta’s rapidly scaling infrastructure and ensure the successful integration of connectivity systems across the portfolio. Thank you for considering my application.

Can you describe a time when you had to manage connectivity scope across multiple data center projects simultaneously?
In my previous role at a large tech company, I oversaw connectivity for four data centers under construction. I coordinated with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to standardize designs and ensure timely delivery. I implemented a tracking system to monitor milestones and risks, which allowed us to address issues proactively and meet all server-ready dates.
How do you approach risk identification and mitigation in a connectivity project?
I start by reviewing the project plan and design documents to identify potential bottlenecks, such as material delays or design changes. I then collaborate with the team to prioritize risks based on impact and likelihood. For mitigation, I develop contingency plans, such as securing alternative suppliers or adjusting schedules, and communicate these to stakeholders regularly.
Describe your experience with cross-functional collaboration, particularly with engineering and construction teams.
I have worked extensively with structural, electrical, and network engineering teams to integrate connectivity systems into data center designs. I facilitated regular meetings to align on requirements and resolve conflicts. For example, I worked with the construction team to ensure conduit paths were installed correctly before fiber pulling, which streamlined the process.
How do you ensure consistency in connectivity builds across different sites?
I develop standardized guidelines and best practices based on lessons learned from previous projects. I also conduct regular audits and provide training to site teams. By maintaining a centralized repository of designs and specifications, I ensure all sites follow the same standards, which reduces errors and improves efficiency.
How do you handle a situation where a connectivity milestone is at risk?
First, I assess the root cause and impact on the overall project schedule. Then I convene the relevant stakeholders to discuss options, such as reallocating resources or adjusting the sequence of work. I escalate to leadership if necessary and provide a clear recovery plan. Communication is key to ensuring everyone is aligned and committed to the solution.
