Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and multiple-view drafts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Convert sketches, hand-drawn concepts, and architectural notes into precise digital drawings.
- Ensure all designs comply with fabrication limitations, construction standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain and continuously update the AutoCAD block library.
- Assist architects and engineers with estimating, plan takeoffs, crowdsourcing, bid preparation, and other pre-construction deliverables.
- Produce comprehensive planning reports and visual materials for client presentations.
- Record and track daily and weekly project progress for internal monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with project managers, field installers, and shop personnel to confirm field conditions and clarify design requirements.
- Provide ongoing support to field teams during installation and fabrication stages.
- Monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements to urban plans or project layouts as needed.
- Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to verify accuracy and buildability.
- Ensure that all documents, drafts, and revisions meet internal quality standards and client requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
