Describe your experience with handling difficult customers.
In my previous role, I dealt with irate customers by actively listening, empathizing, and finding mutually acceptable solutions. I remained calm and professional, which often de-escalated the situation.
How do you prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment?
I use a task management system to prioritize based on urgency and impact. I break down larger tasks into smaller steps and set deadlines to ensure timely completion.
What strategies do you use to negotiate payment plans?
I start by understanding the customer's financial situation, then offer flexible payment options that align with company policies. I emphasize the benefits of resolving the debt to secure commitment.
How do you ensure accuracy when documenting account information?
I double-check entries for accuracy, use templates and checklists, and review notes before finalizing. I also take advantage of system validations to minimize errors.
Tell me about a time you had to work independently to resolve an issue.
When a customer had a complex billing dispute, I researched their account history, identified the error, and corrected it without needing supervisor intervention. I then communicated the resolution to the customer.
