Sample interview questions
Can you describe a time when you had to explain a complex technical concept to a non-technical customer? How did you ensure they understood?

In my previous role, I often had to explain software features to clients. I used analogies and broke down the information into simple, digestible steps. I also asked the customer to repeat key points in their own words to confirm understanding, and I followed up with a written summary for their reference.

How do you prioritize and manage multiple customer issues with varying urgency?

I start by assessing the impact and urgency of each issue. For urgent, high-impact problems, I focus immediately while maintaining clear communication with other customers about expected timelines. I use a ticketing system to track progress and ensure nothing falls through the cracks, and I continuously reassess priorities as new issues arise.

This role involves collaborating with product managers and engineers to solve customer issues. How would you handle a situation where a customer request is not feasible from a technical standpoint?

I would first gather all necessary details and validate the request with the technical team. If it's not feasible, I would communicate the limitations to the customer in a positive way, offering alternative solutions or workarounds. I would also share the feedback with the product team so they can consider it for future improvements.

Why are you interested in working for Juniper Square specifically, and how does this role fit into your career goals?

I am impressed by Juniper Square's mission to modernize private markets and the emphasis on innovation with JunieAI. This role is a perfect fit because it combines my strengths in customer support with an opportunity to develop deeper skills in a complex industry. I see this as a stepping stone toward a career in customer success, and I value the company's commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Tell me about a time you received constructive feedback. How did you respond and what did you improve?

In my last job, my manager pointed out that my written documentation was sometimes too brief for other team members to follow. I took this feedback positively and started using templates and adding more detail to my notes. I also attended a writing workshop, and subsequently, my documentation was used as an example for new hires.
